From the level of the 2-car garage, there are 39 steps up to the front door. But fortunately if you drive up the road after taking a hairpin turn some 500 feet ahead, it will take you to the back door which is level entry to the main floor of the house. There is over 2000 square feet of palatial living space in this quiet but grand home located deep in the forest near the community of Sky Forest near Lake Arrowhead.

• The elevation here is 5800 feet which means that the temperature is 20 to 30 degrees cooler than typical locations in the basin and valleys below the mountain. In the winter, we do get snow! On some occasions, tire chains may be required even on 4-wheel drive vehicles and for 4-wheel drive vehicles, you will at least need to prove that you are carrying chains! • You have a 7-minute drive down Kuffel Canyon Road to Lake Arrowhead and Lake Arrowhead Village.
• 8 minutes to Running Springs where you can rent ski or snowboard equipment.
• 25 minutes to Snow Valley Resort .
• 50 minutes to Big Bear Skiing (30 miles).
• 1 hour to Ontario Airport.
• 1.5 hours to Los Angeles.
• 1.5 hours to Disneyland and Knott's Berry Farm.
• 1.5 hours to the Pacific Ocean.
• 2.5 hours to Sea World in San Diego.
• 2.5 hours to Six Flags Magic Mountain.
• 3.5 to 4 hours to Las Vegas.

You may also forego the 39 steps up to the front door to access the main level of the home by simply driving up the road to the back door where there is also adequate parking for 2 vehicles! A keyless lock on the back door gives you entry into the mudroom and the main floor.

On entering the main floor you behold the spacious living room area with a large deck visible beyond the sliding doors. Besides the living room, the main floor also holds the dining room, master bedroom, kitchen and master bath.

• Dining room seats 8 guests comfortably.
• 27" Cable TV with VCR/DVD player.
• Fireplace with gas lighter (although there is also a gas fired central heating).
• Sectional sofa that converts to sofa bed.
• Deck has view of the forest wilderness.
• WiFi/Ethernet Internet connection.

• All the necessary vessels, pans, and utensils to cook and bake as well as condiments and basic cooking supplies.
• Refrigerator/freezer.
• Microwave and coffee maker.
• Gas Range and oven.
• Dishwasher.

The downstairs bedroom has two bunk beds that can accommodate four sleeping youngsters or four individuals young at heart.

An elegant downstairs bathroom! Guests also have access and use of the full-size washer and dryer.

The gameroom downstairs sports an air hockey table and foosball gaming table. There is a also a 27" cable TV and a sofa bed for extra guests.

Here are your expected costs:

• $235.00 per night for your stay. This price is subject to change according to season.
• $ 95.00 housekeeping fee.
• 7% San Bernardino County bed tax.

Thus, a typical weekend or weekday 2-night stay runs:

• $470.00 (for 2 nights).
• $ 32.90 (7% tax).
• $ 95.00 (housekeeping fee).
• $597.90 (Grand total for your 2-night stay).

Check-in time is 3:00 p.m. and check-out time is 11:00 a.m. On Sundays, a late check-out may be available for as late as 6 p.m. without additional charge. Ask at time of reservation.

• Your reservation cab be secured with either a Mastercard, Visa, Discover, or Amercan Express card or U.S. Postal Money Order.
• A personalized rental agreement will then be generated and sent to you via mail or to your e-mail address (preferred) as a PDF file.
• You then sing the rental agreement and return it via mail or fax (909) 494-7538.
• Upon receipt of the signed rental agreement, your stay will be charged/cashed with a 30-day time period prior to your stay.

• No signers under 25 years of age (inquire about exceptions for honeymooners).
• Sorry, but there are no pets allowed. We pride ourselves on keeping the home as allergy-free as possible for our future guests.
• NO SMOKING, burning of incense or candles is permitted on the premises, as there is an extreme fire hazard in the mountains.
• A $250 refundable damage/security deposit may be required with each stay. Your check/charge is cashed/charged when you reserve and refunded/credited after the home passes inspection upon your departure. You can expect your refund within 14 days of your departure.
• CANCELLATIONS - A ten (10) day notice is required for cancellation. Cancellations that are made more than ten (10) days prior to the arrival date will incur no penalty except if deposits were made via credit card. All credit card cancellations are subject to a 5% cancellation fee or $50 whichever is greater. Cancellations or changes that result in a shortened stay, that are made within ten (10) days of the arrival date, forfeit the full advance payment and damage/reservation deposit. Cancellation or early departure does not warrant any refund of rent or deposit. Please consider travel insurance.
• You will be expected to abide by your signed rental agreement issued to you when you book your reservation.
• If you have any special requests of needs for somethiung extra that would enhance your stay, be sure to ask us. We are very flexible and ready to accommodate your wishes. Just ask!
